The Caribbean Animal Welfare E-mail group is an E-mail list of more than 160 subscribers, all of whom work on animal welfare issues in the Bahamas and the Caribbean. The E-mail group provides a forum for animal welfare groups working in the region to share ideas and concerns and help each other work towards solutions for common problems.
Postings to this list average less than two a day in any given month. Topics covered in past discussions have included:
• use of animals in entertainment (eg., dolphin captivity programs);
• controlling the spread of diseases, including parvo and mange;
• resources for animal welfare groups available on the Web;
• upcoming training events;
• helping develop humane solutions to animal overpopulation problems;
• new developments in veterinary medicine; and
• media coverage of Caribbean animal welfare issues
